This Aircraft Mechanic will specialize on the Airframe side of our Business Aviation operations in Houston. At this MRO facility, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft. Troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components is accomplished by this position. In addition, engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the A&P Mechanic.

What You Will Do:

- Inspects aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals

- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and documents discrepancies (squawks).

- Reinstalls and tests components after completed inspection.

- Troubleshoots and repairs all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).

- Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.

- Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.

- Tests operation and repairs/adjusts, as required: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts rigging as required.

- Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.

- Utilize mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.

- Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop powered aircraft.

Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.

- Minimum 2 years Corporate Aviation experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon Jet, Challenger, and/or Embraer

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Aviation training: Military training, Aeronautical academy, technical school training and/or an Aviation Associates Degree.

- Factory authorized training on assigned aircraft and/or engines.
