Job Summary

The successful candidate will help organize the modeling workflows (Flow2Quake, Quake-DFN) according to the best current practice in computer science to facilitate its maintenance and further upgrade. Progress updates will be done on a weekly basis.

Essential Job Duties



  • Analyze GMG workflows (Flow2Quake in particular) and evaluate modifications needed to facilitate code maintenance and optimize computational performance.
  • Implement proposed modifications upon approval of supervisor.
  • Demonstrate performance and document code modifications.


Basic Qualifications



  • Completed coursework in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 1 year of experience with Python, JS/TS, Java.
  • Experience working in an academic research group.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in programming for scientific computational modeling or data processing.
  • Knowledge of GMG workflows (Flow2Quake, Quake-DFN).

Hiring Range

$18.50 - $24.75 Per Hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
