This is a Full-Time salaried/benefited position with a day schedule. Position helps with calls every other weekend.

Position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

We invite you to join our Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Case Management team as a Supervisor of Case Management.

As a supervisor of case management, you will...



  • Responsible for oversight of the activities and functions of a department.
  • Provides functional expertise to staff and leadership.
  • Ensures effective use of system resources.
  • Participates in standards of practice and process improvement activities.
  • Participates in hiring, oversees daily productivity, and creates staffing schedule.
  • Ensures policy and procedures are followed by staff.

Qualifications

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:



  • BSN preferred.
  • Knowledge of health plan benefit coverage and regulations
  • Certification of Case Management.
  • EPIC experience.
  • ECIN or All scripts experience.


Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:



  • Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in case management/utilization review, discharge planning, and Millman/InterQual criteria usage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, and ability to quickly learn a variety of case management systems.



Required Certification/Registration:



  • CA RN license.
  • Current BLS Healthcare from American Heart Association.

  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago


In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:



  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
