About This Role: Kansas State University is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as an Assistant/Associate Professor and Director of the Drama Therapy Program. This role involves overseeing the Drama Therapy program, teaching graduate courses, supervising internships, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community through service and leadership. The program is part of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and is connected to undergraduate programs in Music, Theatre, and Dance and graduate programs in Music. Strengths of the program include its state-of-the-art drama therapy facilities, strong theatre base and opportunities for creating drama-in-education, theatre-in-education, or issue-based community projects. Service learning and internships are incorporated into courses to provide students with direct client contact experiences. The KSU MA in Theatre with a concentration in Drama Therapy is a 53-credit program that is approved by the North American Drama Therapy Association. The program provides the requirements of training and education toward registry (RDT). Worksite Options: This position is required to be performed on-site.
