Seeking a Paralegal to join our brand-new facility in our Tomball, TX Office! This is a long-term, full-time position with comprehensive benefits. This role provides plenty of opportunity for growth and advancement over time. This position requires the person to be fully fluent in Mandarin.


Overview

The Paralegal will work closely with our executive team and act as a liaison with the legal staff of various firms and organizations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct and prepare researched documents for attorneys and executive team.

2. Maintain files and documents so they may be retrieved and referenced as needed.

3. Draft contracts and review existing contracts and agreements for any compliance issues. Serve as point of contact for contracted service providers.

4. Serve as liaison between the company and legal staff conducting work for us to make sure information and paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner. Respond to requests for information in a timely manner.

5. Keep abreast of current and new legislation that affects the business and update leadership with analysis and summaries.

6. Renew and maintain company licensing and permits

7. File and manage various business entity documents for the company with the appropriate agencies.

8. Assist with ethics and compliance programs.

9. Prepare and proofread correspondence, in both English and Mandarin.

10. Handle all confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

11. Complete any other tasks as assigned by management.

Required Education/Experience

* Fluency in English required.

* Fluency in Mandarin highly desirable, as this position will liaise with legal staff in Southeast Asia.

* High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree highly preferred.

* Paralegal certification required.

* At least one year of experience working with multinational companies and federal agencies.

Competencies

* Proficiency in professional communication to collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments from many cultures.

* Superb attention to detail, as well as organizational and multitasking skills.

* Proficiency using virtual meeting rooms for discussions and to upload and organize documents.

* Must be a team player.
