Sr. Mechanical Engineer

STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in heavy-duty trucks for a key position with TICO Manufacturing in Ridgeland, South Carolina. You will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for next-generation trucks, improving performance and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role involves technical leadership, engineering analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize vehicle performance.

• Truck Design & Development: Lead the design of chassis, suspension, and drivetrain systems for heavy-duty trucks.
  
• Engineering Analysis & Simulation: Use CAD and simulation tools to evaluate vehicle performance and durability.
  
• Compliance & Validation: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and oversee prototype testing.
  
• Leadership: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements for enhanced vehicle reliability and performance.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  
• 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck or commercial vehicle engineering.
  
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Adams).
  
• Knowledge of chassis, suspension, and powertrain systems.
  
• Strong understanding of FMVSS, EPA, and NHTSA standards.
  

This role is based in an office but may require visits to manufacturing facilities. PPE is mandatory on production floors.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  
• Frequent standing, walking, and crouching.
