As a result, we have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Transportation Project Manager in our Warrenville, IL or Chicago, IL office location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as market leader and project manager on IDOT, Tollway, and/or municipal transportation improvement projects
  • Participate in business development opportunities including writing technical proposals and proactive marketing of future opportunities. Lead proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
  • Lead design and plan development for any typical highway project from preliminary to final design
  • Maintain budgets, scopes, and schedules
  • Develop and review plan sets, quantity estimates, and reports
  • Preform QA/QC tasks
  • Mentor project staff

A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or similar discipline from an accredited four-year college
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
  • PE license in Illinois

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Experience developing and leading marketing initiatives
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD and IDOT or ISTHA and local design guidelines and manuals
  • Experience preparing design and construction plans
  • Experience preparing cost estimates and construction specifications or special provisions
  • Experienced with report writing as relates to roadway projects
  • Experience in coordination with various design disciplines, utility coordination and project stakeholders
  • Experience in preparing scope of work and fee proposals
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
