JOB SUMMARY

The AOT/FSP Mental Health Professional III reports to the Program Director and is responsible for providing mental health clinical services to clients with severe mental illness. This position serves those who are referred from the community and are assessed if they meet criteria for Assisted Outpatient Treatment, engaging and collaborating with Fresno County Civil Courts and Fresno Department of Behavioral Health This position will also support other Turning Point Programs to assist with assessing and diagnosing for those with dual coverage insurance.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Provide high quality, therapeutic, wellness and recovery oriented, direct therapy services (individual, family, group treatment, case management, and consultation) in the clinic and in the community as necessary to a caseload of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and dual diagnosis individuals.
  2. Document services to meet all clinical program, county, and state requirements, including Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal and dual coverage requirements, noting significant intervention and progress toward development and attainment of a treatment plan.
  3. Maintain and submit all documentation and billing as it relates to client services.
  4. Meet with clinical mental health services staff for the purpose of reviewing client progress and to assure quality treatment planning.
  5. Provide direction to Treatment Team to ensure they are familiar with and understand the clients Plan of Care and work in collaboration with the client.
  6. Write affidavits to submit to court for individuals who qualify for AOT (assisted outpatient treatment).
  7. Complete evaluations, write assessments, and provide appropriate diagnosis for individuals to support individual's treatment including regular documentation to the court.
  8. Schedule and provide regular AOT presentations to community partners to inform and strengthen community support for the AOT program.
  9. Attend court weekly or as needed to support participant's treatment.
  10. Attend AOT meetings weekly to support treatment for participants.
  11. Provide supervision as needed to other clinicians.
  12. Consistently meet program performance standards including a service impact of 50%, sign and submit documentation goals, and attainment of 40 hours of job related in-service training per year.
  13. Meet with clinical mental health services staff to review client's progress and to assure quality treatment planning.
  14. Follow all reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.
  15. Review client files at discharge for completion, making written notes of findings, and review findings with counseling staff for the purpose of quality assurance.
  16. Attend and participate in staff meetings and on-site staff training.
  17. Communicate closely, in a systematic fashion, with agencies and significant others involved in the rehabilitation of consumers.
  18. Provide the Program Director with timely reports on any unusual occurrences that might impact the overall program operation or the health and safety of clients or employees.
  19. Complete the minimum 40 hours training annually per Turning Point training requirements.
  20. Will drive on company business and transport consumers as needed, travelling to multiple sites as needed.
  21. Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  22. Physical presence in the office is required
  23. Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.


ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS



  1. Licensed Required: Currently licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  2. Licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Child Therapist with at least two (2) years' post-licensure experience, preferred.
  3. Registered with Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).
  4. Ability to be certified in emergency first aid procedures and CPR.
  5. Knowledge of best practices regarding the treatment of clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) and Dual-Diagnosis individuals.
  6. Knowledge of record keeping procedures related to patient charts and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  7. Experience with co-occurring substance use disorders and treatment modalities.
  8. Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  9. Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  10. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  11. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
  12. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  13. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

    • Monolingual/Licensed: Class 192 ($81,456.72- $107,191.48/annually)
    • Monolingual/Licensed/BBS: Class 197 ($85,611.83- $112,659.33/annually)
