The Program Manager for EHS will work with the VP EHS,Director, Global Health & Safety andRegional EHS leaders to scope and deliver EHS Programs globally in support of the EHS strategy. Travel is required for the role to support EHS program implementations throughout the plant network (up to 50% initially, then quarterly expectations). Must live near one of our plant locations or Chicago.

What You'll Do:



  • Provide technical assistance on EHS-related continuous improvement Programs aligned with the EHS strategic program development and implementation
  • Benchmark program opportunities inline with EHS strategic plan priorities
  • Assess regulatory compliance across various safety programs and environmental media.
  • Support the design and implementation of the EHS management systems and programs for regions
  • Conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for EHS performance improvement Programs
  • Manage multiple Programs within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables
  • Support regions to effectively manage and deliver Programs

  • Report any incidents, hazards, near misses or "at-risk" behaviors
  • Take ownership through participating in health and safety initiatives/activities and training
  • Acting as a safety leader at all times and ensuring yourself and others perform their work safely
  • Responding to any hazard or incident that is raised with you and providing or seeking the support required to respond to the identified workplace issue



What You'll Bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Environmental Health and Safety, safety science, environmental science, or other closely related degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Five or more years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, preferably experience with managing large program assessment and implementation.
  • Must live near one of our plant locations or Chicago.
  • Professional certification strongly preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (or equivalent certification in country or jurisdiction) or eligible for certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local EH&S related regulations.
  • Computer proficiency ability, Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant OSHA, AUS, GPSR regulations and ISO requirements
  • Experience working within an EHS environment (utilising an EHS Management System, technology, and tools)


  • Exceptional organization and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable effective interaction/communication with management at many levels.
  • Effective leadership abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting and training in large and small groups (training/presentation, communication with site management).
  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • Good technical writing skills.
