Summary The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Mechanical Commodity is an individual contributor role that manages the purchase of production and service parts and materials within an assigned section or group of commodities and suppliers. Assigned to the Mechanical Commodity, this position will source materials specific to Drivetrain Axles and Transmission commodity. This position will be responsible for supporting/driving strategic direction, negotiations, and supporting purchasing metrics and overall organizational objectives. Will drive, forecast and report economic savings performance, negotiates price reductions, increases and long-term agreements, market test, to maximize leverage, and analyze various reports to capture opportunities. Will support special projects as necessary to assist in delivering commodity goals. The role is both tactical and strategic. Responsibilities Responsibilities
Strategic: Develop and implement both regionally and global sourcing strategies for the Axle and Transmission commodity, oversee supplier selection across multiply platforms, lead long term contract negotiations and on time launch targets.
