This opportunity is in the Information Technology Department.

Role Description:

In the role of Security Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that lives by Safety National's five core values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance and Stability. You will work closely with the entire Information Technology Department along with external and internal business partners to create and build security around our practices.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Security Engineer:



  • Lead the Way in Cyber Defense: As a senior-level Security Engineer, you'll manage and optimize both on-premise and cloud firewalls, ensuring everything from VPN configurations to traffic monitoring is airtight.
  • Cloud Security Powerhouse: You'll get to work with cutting-edge Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools, constantly improving our cloud environments and keeping us ahead of security threats.
  • Be the First Line of Defense: From monitoring security logs to responding to incidents, you'll have a hands-on role in protecting our network and data from emerging cyber threats.
  • Collaborative Culture: You won't just secure systems-you'll educate and collaborate with other teams, promoting security best practices across the organization. Your impact will be felt company-wide.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: With opportunities to keep up with industry trends, you'll help shape the future of security at Safety National, making sure we stay a step ahead of potential threats.


You may also be assigned various projects like, determining and assisting with implementation of job's best practices with respect to processes and documentation to best suit the needs of Safety National. Additionally, on-call rotation duties and regular scheduled maintenances and participating in 24x7 security monitoring may be asked of you throughout the year.

The ideal candidate is someone LIST SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS WE ARE SEEKING . Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, LIST 2-4 ESSENTIAL SKILLS. Prior experience with LIST SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS AND TOOLS is required or preferred

Qualifications:

Education:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance or related field is preferred


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the area of networking infrastructure
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security administration, system, and network administration in Windows/Linux networks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security topics to a diverse audience
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principals and best practices accompanied by experience in managing security risks
  • Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking and protocols


Preferred Qualifications:



  • P&C Insurance experience is a plus

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
