Engineering Branch Manager Location: Nashville, TN CLP Engineering (CLPE) is strategically expanding our engineering services to the Southeast Region, with intention to establish a regional office in the Nashville area. We're seeking an Engineering Branch Manager to initiate and maintain client relationships out of Nashville and the surrounding southeast region, while developing an engineering team in Nashville. CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers The Engineering Branch Manager will have 10 years' experience in power systems engineering along with sales/marketing background related to electric power or energy industry. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and manage CLPE regional marketing initiatives and strategies.
- Initiate and conduct outreach to potential customers, establish credibility and develop a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Hire and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to support power systems engineering including systems studies, planning, design, SCADA, automation, microgrid, renewable energy and storage systems.
- Manage engineering projects and mentor junior engineers to grow them to become supervisors and leaders.
- Maintain strong and reputable relationship with existing customers and build a professional network within the region to establish CLPE as a reputable professional services company with unique capabilities.
- Develop and present recommended strategies, objectives, actions, and business plans to leadership team.
- Lead development of technical proposals with technical oversight, technical writing, strategies, reviews, and coordination of all the required information from various internal supports.
- Facilitate, engage, and involve technical expertise within CLPE to execute projects and maintain customer satisfaction, schedule, and budget.
- Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote and showcase CLPE's capabilities. Provide content for marketing materials as they relate to promotion, web site, advertising, public relations, and in-person events.
- Participate in developing CLPE business growth plans and assist with establishing goals and milestones to meet growth needs.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) required. Additional training or degrees in business, or marketing with a background in technical/engineering business development is desired.
- Ten plus (10+) years' experience in power systems engineering industry with sales/marketing responsibilities related to electric power or energy industry.
- Candidate will have strong regional knowledge and be well immersed in the business community to achieve early success in acquiring new work.
- Exceptional technical writing and proposal development experience and skills.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Highly motivated with a proven track record in successfully driving end-to-end processes.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Travel:
- Travel between current and future job sites expected with 30% overnight travel expected.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- Valid driver's license required with a record that meets CLP Fleet Policy.

- Salary range: $155,000-$190,000/year based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
