Job Summary:

The Director, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for development, growth, and maintenance of priority, high-impact partnerships with stakeholders including community groups, community-based organizations (CBOs) and key collaborators. This role leads the execution of the market's brand awareness, public relations and community engagement efforts including developing and fulfilling community partnership strategic plan.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage goals, activities, and outcomes for market community-facing teams including Life Services, Community Marketing, and Women's and Children's Health, and others as market or company needs dictate
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the development and execution of high-visibility initiatives around housing, re-entry, jobs, school health, social determinants of health, and/or other state priority areas
  • Represent and maintain external relationships with CBOs and key collaborators
  • Participate in and represent CareSource before meetings with state leadership, industry groups and associations, outside representation, and others as needed
  • Advocate for the development and implementation of programs and policies that improve community health and benefit our members, communities, and company
  • Lead efforts with market and product leaders to develop aligned, collaborative processes designed to meet the business requirements goals, policy environment, and departmental growth
  • Analyze data and outcomes to design and advocate for responsive policies, programs, and interventions
  • Monitor performance across markets and products to identify improvement opportunities, leverage best practice and knowledge sharing for the purpose of improving outcomes through the standardization of evidence based practices
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and developing direct reports
  • Responsible for completing performance appraisals and disciplinary actions of direct reports
  • Responsible for guiding and directing staff through daily work and complex projects
  • Perform any other job related instructions as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Services, Social Work, Community Development or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • Master's degree in related field is preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in community development, social services or working with low-income populations is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required
  • Experience in launching new programs across cities, counties or states is preferred
  • Previous leadership experience is required

  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to effectively manage high performing teams, and provide coaching and development to staff
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Marketplace, and Medicare programs
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare field
  • Critical listening and thinking skills
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking, yet able to execute tactically
  • Negotiation skills/experience
  • Decision making/problem solving skills
  • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office is required

Licensure and Certification:

  • To help protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve from acquiring communicable diseases, Influenza vaccination is a requirement of this position. CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 - March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Employees hired during Influenza season will have thirty (30) days from their hire date to complete the required vaccination and have record of immunization verified.

Compensation Range:
$110,800.00 - $193,800.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
